Sabbath or Shabat, what comes to mind when you hear that term?
(Shabbat) appears just over 100 times within the Tanakh. “Old Testament“
Within those references were weekly reminders, sabbaths related to certain festivals, the high sabbath. There was even a land sabbath every 7th year the land was to rest, and don’t forget the year of jubilee.. Which was celebrated on the 50th year, after the 7th cycle of a 7 year rest.. 🆎 Leviticus 25:8
This starts to be almost repetitious… Rest, remember, repeat… Rest, remember, repeat.
I can’t help but think of Mr. Miyagi getting Danial to do all the chores over and over again… It almost like God was saying to Israel, wax on, Wax off.
